Abortions do not lead to future misbehavior as some may think. A girl that gets the chance to continue with her education changes things so she can become a hero in her book. She is likely to learn more about her body. Especially if she has an adult holding her hand and helping her navigate some of the hurdles.

Yes, and they all start at home. When parents and guardians create an atmosphere where their children can talk to them freely, they allow them to be open to intimate details. They will talk about protection, birth control, and even the right people to have sex with. If this foundation is lacking, teenagers will wing it by talking to peers who may not have the best advice or influence.
Schools could do more by acknowledging that teenagers are hormonal and will want to explore. It wouldn’t hurt to dispense condoms on campus to remind kids to be more careful. Involving boys and men would also be a good idea. Hence, they know they are responsible for any kids they are likely to sire at any point in their lives.

Some may fear getting kicked out of home, while others know they would be subjected to physical abuse as it may have happened before. Others do not live with their parents, so they have no one to report to, while another batch may have parents who abuse drugs or alcohol, leaving them feeling like the only responsible adults in their lives.
If kids feel afraid of talking to the people that protect them, they are naturally likely to avoid talking to them at all costs. Such incidences may lead to them getting abortions in informal settings that some person at school may have mentioned, thereby jeopardizing their lives.

When governments insist on parental controls, they do not make a dysfunctional family functional. Insisting that parents be notified while they haven’t created an atmosphere at home where their child feels safe enough to talk to them about family matters will not suddenly bond them up. The delays only lead to the teenager getting the procedure later when it is more expensive and even dangerous. They are likely to miss out on education as they recuperate and/or wait for a decision. The resulting emotional turmoil is not good for anyone.
