Florida Immigrant Coalitions’ Essential but Excluded Fund
Florida Immigrant Coalition is an alliance made up of more than 62 organizations, including – students, grassroots organizations, legal advocates, student organizations, and service providers in Florida.
These organizations have come together to ensure fair treatment of all single moms, including immigrants. The coalition carries out its responsibility by coordinating member organizations, carrying out community education, and advocacy. The Essential But Excluded Fund assists immigrant women living in Florida and experiencing financial hardships due to the Covid-19 crisis.
The assistance goes to single mothers who are not eligible for federal benefits, unemployment benefits, or paid leaves.

Central Florida Foundation’s ALICE Recovery Fund
ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. This fund aims to support single moms impacted by Covid-19 and reside in Florida. They provide assistance ranging from housing, utility to food. Almost all the single moms living in Florida have benefited from ALICE. Therefore, they require support, especially during this challenging Covid-19 outbreak.

Season of Sharing Fund
The community foundation of Sarasota County launched the “Season of Sharing” in partnership with the Herald-Tribune Media Group. It’s multiple nonprofit agencies that support single mothers with housing, childcare, utility, and even rental assistance during the covid-19 pandemic.
