  3. Temporary Residence Adaption Grants (TRA) – These grants help disabled veterans make accessibility improvements to the home of a family member they are temporarily living in. A SHA or SAH grant is required to be eligible for a TRA grant. 

USDA Section 504 Home Repair Program or Single-Family Housing Repair Grant

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), offers a Housing Repair Grant of up to $7,500 for low-income families to improve, repair or make their home more accessible. As a result, this grant can remove safety and health hazards.

Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities

The Section 811 program offers capital advances to persons with disabilities to finance rehabilitation or construction of supportive housing. Section 811 also provides state housing agencies with project rental assistance (PRA).

The National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA)
