Department of Housing and Community Development

Maryland’s state government has launched federally funded programs to provide rental assistance. The funds will be for rent, home energy costs, housing expenses, as well as other arrears for families who have been adversely affected. This department also administers funds through programs like Maryland Eviction Prevention Partnership, Assisted Housing Relief Program.

These programs function as rental payment assistance programs and provide housing units in multifamily projects. Tenants who are in dire need of housing have the opportunity to access the resources they offer to help them compare the units and access assistance programs to rent monthly rental subsidies.
