Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program has 100 spots available, and one of those spots might have your name on it. With $9500 up for grabs, the scholarship offers academic assistance for 2 years of full-time study. 

There is also a 10-week, full-time paid internship at any NOA facility during the summer vacation. 

What do you need to apply?

It would be best if you were enrolled or accepted as a full-time 2nd-year student in a four-year academic program to be eligible for this scholarship.

However, if you apply as a full-time 3rd-year student in a 5-year undergraduate program at an accredited college or university in the U.S., you only need a 3.0 GPA. It would help if you also majored in teaching education in line with NOAA’s programs and mission.

Afdo Scholarship Awards 

This scholarship has been helping students just like you for more than 20 years. The scholarship is offering $2500 to undergraduate students. All you need to do is show your passion for a career in teaching in some areas relating to food, drugs, and consumer product safety. 

You only need to be a college junior with at least a 3.0 GPA in your first two years of being an undergraduate. But, there are only three spots available for this scholarship.

Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship

Are you a talented teacher and passionate about STEM (science, technology, education, and mathematics)? The Woodrow Wilson organization is looking for thousands of teachers in Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana, and Georgia. This fellowship is open to anyone who is an undergraduate, has recently graduated, is a professional – even retirees who once majored in STEM fields. 

The fellowship includes a master’s degree program at an influential partner university. It also consists of a university teaching certificate in science, technology, education, and mathematics. 

With this fellowship, you’ll become a teacher in a high school that desperately needs teachers. You’ll also have a year of preparing before you become a fully-fledged teacher-of-record for the math and science classroom.

Robert Noyce Scholarships For Education Majors 

Are you passionate about science and technology? Do you dream of molding young minds? Then the Robert Noyce Scholarship is perfect for you! 

The scholarship looks for 10 would-be teachers who want to teach kids in elementary, middle, and high school. The Robert Noyce scholarship is offering $15,000 per year for two years. They will award qualified Trinity seniors and post-baccalaureate candidates in their Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) year.

However, make sure that you apply before January 12, 2022.

What will you get? 

You will join the Trinity University’s teacher preparation program. You will also be able to complete the M.A.T before becoming a teacher.

Virginia Teaching Scholarship Loan Program (VTSLP)

The VTSLP is just the thing for any single mom who needs financial help to become a teacher. The program is looking for teachers who are interested in fields such as special education, elementary education, and foreign language – to name a few.

There is $10,000 available for full-time and part-time students – extra cash for your educational needs. Students can be part of an undergraduate or graduate teacher education program. However, you need to keep up a collective grade point average of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
