The Home Energy Assistance Target program (HEAT), provides winter utility assistance for low-income households. In Utah, the heat program targets those who are truly vulnerable, namely the lowest-income households with high heating costs. The candidates can also be the elderly, disabled, and families with children under preschool age.

About Utah HEAT Program

Families in Cache, Rich and Box Elder Counties can use the Home Energy Assistance Target (HEAT) Program to help them manage their winter utility bills. The State of Utah administers HEAT, a federal program that provides assistance to Utah residents between November 1 and March 31, unless funds run out.
